Barbie Dream House Experience
This was a really neat experience for our girls. We took the kids to the real live Barbie Dream House in Sawgrass, Florida for our daughter's 4th birthday. We got both of our girls the VIP package which included the full treatment. In that it included; getting their makeup done, choice of Barbie outfits to wear for the fashion show, and a free picture at the end of the tour.
The tour was not what I expected. I thought it would be more like a Disney experience where the staff would play the part and for the price of the tickets (I believe for all 5 of us to go it was around $100) and the tour didn't last very long. The installation itself was somewhat interactive but the price was way off for the experience.
When we went to the Barbie Dream House Experience it was in August of 2015. This was right before they were closing the doors for good. The souvenir stock was near empty and the pictures at the end were not working so we were unable to get either of our daughter's professional pictures from the show. I was a little bummed about that because it included that perk with the VIP package. Luckily→ I am a picture-taking craZy mama:O) so I had plenty on my camera. 😉
These are some of the pictures from the inside of the 10,000 square foot life-size seven room Barbie dream house. It has a pink grand piano, a huge pink kitchen, a bathroom with a dolphin that pops out of the toilet, lots of glamor, and of course Barbie's things every where.
Before the fashion show, they got to have their make up done. After their makeup was finished they got to go behind stage and pick out adorable outfits and accessories and walk the cat walk out to the audience. Of course, I was there taking a gazillion pictures. 😀
Minus the lack off participation from the staff and expecting a little more out of the cost of admission. This fashion show was absolutely a hit. *It was my favorite part!* 🙂 The girls loved it and the experience for them was ever-lasting and I am so glad we got to go before the attraction closed down. I mean come on where else can you walk through a real life Barbie house and imagine what it would be like to live like Barbie? 🙂
